Ким і коли був заснований Лондон?
Гіпотеза дослідження
Ми припускаємо, що так як Лондон-столиця Англії, то він був заснований англійцями. Так це чи ні? Ми збираємось це довести або спростувати.
Мета дослідження
Метою нашої групи було дослідити історію заснування столиці Англії. Нас зацікавило, хто і коли його заснував, чому місто має таку назву та як змінювалось обличчя міста протягом століть. Для кращого досягнення мети ми розподілили між собою навчальні завдання. Бондаренко Назар добирав цікаву інформацію з інтернет-ресурсів, Вільшанецький Марко знаходив відповідні ілюстрації до інформації,а Візир Богдан оформлював нашу вікі-сторінку.
Результати дослідження
London, the capital of the United Kingdom (England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland), has a recorded history dating back over 2,000 years. During this time, it has grown to become one of the most significant financial and cultural capitals of the world.The etymology of the name London is uncertain. Londinium was established as a civilian town by the Romans about seven years after the invasion of AD 43. Early Roman London occupied a relatively small area, roughly equivalent to the size of Hyde Park. In around AD 60, it was destroyed by the Iceni led by their queen Boudica. However, the city was quickly rebuilt as a planned Roman town and recovered after perhaps 10 years, the city growing rapidly over the following decades. During the 2nd century Londinium was at its height and replaced Colchester as the capital of Roman Britain (Britannia). Its population was around 60,000 inhabitants. It boasted major public buildings, including the largest basilica north of the Alps, temples, bath houses, an amphitheatre and a large fort for the city garrison. Отже, в результаті нашого дослідження ми дізналися, що не зважаючи на те, що Лондон є столицею Англії, він був заснований римлянами у 43 році н.е. і мав назву Лондініум. Офіційно він став столицею римської провінції в 100 році н.е.Римська стіна - Оборонне укріплення, зведене по периметру міста, збереглася до цих пір в центрі сучасного Лондона.
